AI Social Coach
By downloading, installing, registering for, or using any part of the Service, you enter into a legally binding contract with Mika effective as of the date of your first access. If you are accepting on behalf of a legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
These Terms incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any other policies we publish within the Service. In any conflict, these Terms shall prevail unless a supplementary policy expressly governs a specific subject matter.
These Terms are drafted in English, which is the controlling language. Any translation is for convenience only; in any inconsistency, the English version governs.
The Service is available exclusively to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. This requirement exists given the nature of social coaching, real-user interaction, and the potential for interpersonal connection on the platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18. We reserve the right to immediately terminate any account where we have reasonable grounds to believe the holder is under 18, without prior notice or liability.
You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete registration information, including your real date of birth. Providing false information, including a false date of birth to circumvent the age restriction, is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate permanent account termination.
Each individual may maintain only one active Mika account. Creating duplicate accounts to evade bans, suspensions, or enforcement actions is prohibited and may result in permanent termination of all associated accounts.
You may register via Apple Sign-In or Google. By doing so, you authorize Mika to receive limited profile information from those providers as permitted by your consent settings, subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
The Service may not be available or fully functional in all jurisdictions. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the laws of your country of residence.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your password with any third party. Mika will never request your password through any communication channel.
Notify us promptly at service@mika.rocks if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mika is not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use prior to your notification.
You are fully responsible for all activity occurring through your account, including all content published, purchases made, AI sessions conducted, real-user interactions, and connections formed, whether or not personally initiated by you.

We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Mika is continuously developed. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes affecting your use of the Service, including material changes to AI persona availability or coaching feature structures.
Mika's AI personas are synthetic characters designed to simulate social scenarios and provide coaching feedback. They are not real people, and interactions with them do not constitute real relationships. The value of AI coaching on Mika lies in the practice and feedback they provide, not in any representation that the AI has human qualities, emotions, or genuine social intent.
AI coaching sessions are designed for skill development and social practice. You agree to use AI sessions only for their intended purpose. You may not attempt to: manipulate AI personas into producing prohibited content; use AI sessions to simulate relationships as a substitute for professional mental health support; extract personal data about other users through AI interactions; or otherwise exploit AI systems for purposes outside their intended coaching function.
You must comply with our Community Standards (Section 8) in all AI coaching sessions. You may not direct AI personas to produce sexual content, hate speech, harassment, content targeting minors, or any other prohibited material. Attempting to elicit such content from AI systems is a serious violation of these Terms and will result in immediate enforcement action.
AI coaching on Mika is a supplemental tool for social skill development. It is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or mental health support. If you are experiencing significant social anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges, we encourage you to seek support from a qualified mental health professional.
AI session content is used as described in our Privacy Policy (Sections 3 and 6). We do not share the content of your personal coaching sessions with third parties for their independent commercial use. See our Privacy Policy for full details on session data storage and controls.
By enabling the user-matching feature, you consent to being matched with and engaging in live text or voice conversations with other verified Mika users. You understand that matched users are real people and agree to treat them with the same respect and dignity required in all platform interactions.
While Mika's matching system is designed to connect users with compatible practice partners, we make no guarantee that any match will result in a productive, positive, or lasting connection. You use the matching and social features at your own discretion and risk. Use in-app reporting and blocking tools if you have a negative or unsafe experience.
All conversations with real users must comply with these Terms and our Community Standards. The expectation of genuine social skill practice is central to the platform's purpose. Using real-user matching features for purposes other than genuine social practice and connection — including spam, solicitation, harassment, or deception — is a serious violation of these Terms.
You may block or report any matched user at any time. Blocking prevents future matching. Abuse of reporting features is itself a Terms violation and may result in enforcement action against the reporting account.
If you and another user mutually agree to connect after a practice session, you acknowledge that this connection exists within the Mika platform context. Mika is not responsible for the nature, quality, or consequences of any relationship that develops between users, within or outside the platform.
You are solely responsible for all content you publish or submit through the Service, including profile content, community posts, and shared skill achievements. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to it and that it complies with these Terms and applicable law.
By submitting UGC, you grant Mika a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, display, and distribute your content within the Service and in connection with promoting the Service, subject to your privacy settings. You retain ownership of all original content you create.
Mika does not use your public UGC to train AI language models for commercial sale to third parties without your explicit, separate consent. Aggregated and de-identified usage patterns may be used to improve Mika's own AI coaching systems, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may delete your public UGC at any time. Deleted content is removed from public view within 48 hours and from production servers within 30 days.
Mika is built on the premise that social skills grow through genuine, respectful practice. We ask all members to bring authenticity, patience, and goodwill to every interaction — with AI personas and real users alike. Everyone on Mika is working to improve; meet them with the same generosity you would hope for yourself.
You may not use Mika to harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or target any individual. This applies in real-user conversations, community posts, and any other platform context. Violations result in immediate enforcement action and may be reported to law enforcement.
Sexually explicit content is prohibited across all platform features, including AI sessions, real-user conversations, and community posts. Attempting to elicit sexual content from AI personas or to send sexual content to real users is a serious violation and results in immediate account suspension or termination.
Content promoting hatred or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
Mika's value depends on authentic participation. You may not impersonate any person or Mika representative, deceive other users about your identity or intentions, or use the platform to conduct social engineering experiments on real users without their awareness and consent.
You may not use real-user matching features to deliberately sabotage, humiliate, or test other users in ways that harm their experience. Mika is a coaching environment, not a testing ground for social manipulation.
Mika is exclusively for users 18 years of age or older. We implement date-of-birth verification at registration and apply detection measures to accounts suspected of being operated by minors. Confirmed underage accounts are immediately and permanently terminated with all associated data deleted.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has created a Mika account, contact us immediately at service@mika.rocks. We will investigate and, where confirmed, permanently delete the account and all associated data without delay.
We conduct regular audits of child safety infrastructure, collaborate with recognized child safety organizations, and continuously update detection capabilities in line with evolving best practices and legal requirements.
All rights, title, and interest in the Service — including the Mika name, logo, application design, interface, software, AI persona designs and underlying systems, skill curriculum, coaching frameworks, and recommendation algorithms — are owned by or licensed to Mika and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Mika's trademarks or proprietary marks without prior written consent.
The AI personas on Mika — including their names, personalities, visual representations, and backstories — are original creative works owned by Mika. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any AI persona character outside of your authorized use of the Service.
If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the Service, you agree that Mika may use such feedback freely without obligation. You assign to Mika all intellectual property rights in such feedback to the extent assignable under applicable law.
If you believe content on Mika infringes your copyright, email service@mika.rocks with subject "Copyright Notice" including identification of the protected work and infringing material, your contact details, a good-faith belief statement, and a declaration of accuracy and authority.
Subject to your full and continued compliance with these Terms, Mika grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to install and use the Mika application on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use to access the Service as intended.
This license does not include any right to: sublicense, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or any AI persona; copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service or any AI system within it; reverse engineer or attempt to extract training data or model weights from any AI system; access the Service via automated means including bots or scrapers; or circumvent any security or access control feature.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Mika. Unauthorized use terminates your license and may expose you to legal liability.
All in-app purchases are processed exclusively through Apple App Store or Google Play. Mika does not store your payment card details. We receive only anonymized transaction confirmation tokens and entitlement data.
If Mika offers virtual currency or premium coaching features: (a) they have no cash value; (b) are non-transferable between accounts; (c) are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or app store policy; (d) may expire per terms disclosed at purchase; and (e) may be forfeited upon account termination for cause.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal via App Store or Google Play account settings.
Except as required by applicable law or app store policies, all digital content sales and virtual currency purchases are final. Refund requests must be directed to the relevant app store platform.
Mika's AI coaching functionality relies on third-party AI model infrastructure providers who process session inputs to generate coaching responses in real time. These providers act as data processors under our instructions and are contractually prohibited from retaining or independently using your session content. By using Mika's AI features, you acknowledge that session inputs are transmitted to these providers for inference processing.
The Service may contain links to external resources. Mika is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of any third-party site. Visiting external links is at your own risk.
Use of Mika from the Apple App Store is additionally subject to Apple's App Store Terms. From Google Play, additionally subject to Google Play's Terms. In any conflict, the applicable platform's terms prevail for platform-specific matters.
Mika's AI personas are sophisticated but imperfect coaching tools. AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, contextually inappropriate, repetitive, or unhelpful. Social skill development is complex and individual; coaching responses from AI personas do not constitute professional social work, therapeutic, psychological, or mental health advice.
Mika is not designed to replace professional mental health support. If you experience significant social anxiety, social phobia, depression, or other mental health challenges, we strongly encourage you to seek qualified professional support in addition to or instead of using Mika. The Service is a skill-building tool, not a therapeutic intervention.
While Mika is designed to provide effective social skill coaching, we make no guarantee that use of the Service will result in measurable improvement in your social skills, confidence, or real-world social outcomes. Individual results vary significantly based on consistency of practice, receptiveness to feedback, and many other personal factors outside Mika's control.
Mika's AI personas do not have genuine feelings, intentions, or social needs. Any sense of connection or relationship you feel toward an AI persona is a product of the coaching experience design, not evidence of a real relationship. We encourage users to direct genuine social connection energy toward real human interactions, including those facilitated by Mika's user-matching feature.
In connection with your use of the Service, you agree not to:
You may not use the Service to develop competing AI social coaching products, systematically extract Mika AI persona content or coaching curriculum, or conduct commercial activities beyond those expressly permitted by these Terms.
Mika reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, remove, or take action on any content or user behavior at any time, in its sole discretion, without prior notice. Moderation uses automated screening and human review guided by these Terms and our Community Guidelines. AI session content may be subject to safety monitoring as described in our Privacy Policy.
You may report any content, AI session outcome, or user that appears to violate these Terms using the in-app Report function. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Submitting false or malicious reports is a Terms violation and may result in enforcement action against the reporting account.
Violations may result in: a warning; content removal; temporary feature restrictions (including AI session access); temporary account suspension; or permanent account termination. Severity is calibrated to the nature and seriousness of the violation. For CSAE violations or severe illegal conduct, immediate permanent termination and law enforcement referral occur without warning or appeal.
For enforcement actions not involving CSAE or illegal content, email service@mika.rocks with subject "Enforcement Appeal" providing relevant details. We review appeals in good faith. CSAE-related terminations carry no right of appeal.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Account > Delete Account or by emailing service@mika.rocks. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused virtual currency or subscription fees, except as required by applicable law.
We may suspend or permanently terminate your access at any time, with or without prior notice, if we determine you have violated these Terms, engaged in unlawful activity, or pose a risk to the safety or integrity of the platform, its users, or any AI infrastructure.
Upon termination, your access ceases immediately. Provisions that by nature survive termination continue to apply, including Sections 7.2, 10, 15, 18, 19, 20, and 21.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MIKA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
MIKA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT AI PERSONA RESPONSES WILL BE ACCURATE, APPROPRIATE, EFFECTIVE FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT, OR FREE FROM ERROR. AI-GENERATED COACHING CONTENT IS PROVIDED AS-IS AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL ADVICE OF ANY KIND.
MIKA DOES NOT WARRANT THE IDENTITY, ACCURACY OF REPRESENTATIONS, SKILL LEVEL, CONDUCT, OR INTENTIONS OF OTHER USERS. YOU INTERACT WITH OTHER USERS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MIKA OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON AI COACHING OUTPUTS, YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS, OR YOUR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF MIKA HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Mika's total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid directly to Mika (excluding amounts paid to Apple or Google) in the twelve months preceding the claim; or (b) USD $50. Where applicable law does not permit certain caps, Mika's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
The limitations in this Section reflect a reasonable allocation of risk and form an essential element of the agreement between you and Mika. Mika would not provide the Service without these limitations.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mika and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your content; (c) your breach of these Terms; (d) your violation of applicable law; (e) your infringement of any third-party right; or (f) any harm caused to other users through your conduct on the platform.
Mika reserves the right to assume exclusive control of any matter subject to your indemnification. You agree to cooperate fully and may not settle any claim imposing obligations on Mika without our prior written consent.
Before initiating formal proceedings, contact us at service@mika.rocks describing the dispute and the relief sought. We will respond in good faith within 30 days. If not resolved within 60 days, either party may proceed to formal dispute resolution.
Except for small claims court matters and except where prohibited by applicable law, all disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitral institution in the jurisdiction of Mika's principal place of business. The arbitrator's decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
YOU AND MIKA EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. All claims must be brought individually. If this waiver is found unenforceable for any claim, the arbitration provision in Section 21.2 shall not apply to that claim.
For users in jurisdictions where mandatory arbitration or class action waivers are unenforceable (including EU member states and the United Kingdom), these provisions shall not apply to the extent prohibited. Such users retain the right to bring disputes before courts of competent jurisdiction in their country of residence.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Mika is incorporated, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except where mandatory consumer protection or data protection laws in your country of residence impose higher standards that cannot be contracted out of.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection legislation, your statutory rights are not limited by these Terms. In any conflict, your statutory rights prevail to the extent of the conflict.
We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable, including material changes to AI persona availability, coaching curriculum structure, or user-matching features.
Material changes are communicated at least 14 days before taking effect via in-app notice, push notification, and/or email. Non-material clarifications may be updated without advance notice.
Continued use of Mika after any revised Terms' effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept, stop using the Service and delete your account before the changes take effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mika regarding the Service.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be modified minimally to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. All remaining provisions continue in full effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized Mika representative.
You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. Mika may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users.
Mika is not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, infrastructure failures, cyberattacks, or AI infrastructure outages.

We acknowledge inquiries within 5 business days and respond within 30 days.
Formal legal notices must be submitted to service@mika.rocks with subject "Legal Notice." Notices become effective upon our written acknowledgment.
Use the in-app Report function on any content, conversation, or user profile, or email service@mika.rocks immediately with subject "CSAE Report." These are our highest-priority safety matter, actioned without delay.
